Best Animated Television/Broadcast Production For Children
An Annie Award for Best Animated Television Production for a Children's Audience (especially produced for ages 6 through 12 years old) shall be awarded to an individual episode of an animated television series in recognition of creative excellence in the art of animation.
Eligibility: To be eligible to receive this award an animated television program for children must have originally appeared on television or other qualified broadcast venue (internet, mobile device or similar series broadcast)in the United States between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017.
This award must be given to an individual episode from an animated television series. Multiple episodes from a series may be entered provided that each episode is submitted as a separate submission. Re-runs or animated productions that originally premiered in other media (i.e. theatrical, home entertainment or other special productions) and were later shown on television are not eligible for this award.
Productions entered in this category shall not be eligible for an Annie Award for Animated Television Production Produced for Preschool or General Audience categories.
If the television production for children has either not been released to the public or screened for the membership of ASIFA-Hollywood by October 20, 2017, a submission of required materials must be provided for the members of this category’s nominating committee or, if materials are not readily available for judging, late projects may, at the production’s discretion, be held for judging during the 46th Award cycle in 2018.
Mechanical Requirements for submission: The entire program must be uploaded as a digital video file. Additionally, clips from the production, not to exceed five minutes (5:00) in length, must also be uploaded as a separate digital video file.
